Incredible service today. I phoned at 13:30 to enquire about a fix for my mums stairlift installed by care and repair but no longer under warranty. Informed its an obsolete model but he can come take a look and see what he can do. Arrived at 15:00 and by 15:30, 2 new batteries were installed and the stairlift is fully operational. Very very fair (if anything very cheap) pricing and a great customer service. We're also added on to his annual service list and will be using him moving forward! Highly recommend!!

After being let down by a larger company who took my money for a stairlift but found it impossible to get a service booked in (and awful customer service experience), I sent an email to Ability Assist. I have a service plan for my stair lift and recliner chair and have recently bought a mobility scooter from Ability Assist. Adam spent time explaining all the different models and asking questions to make sure I had the best one to suit my needs. The transaction was very straight forward. He delivered it and spent time putting it together, showing me how it worked and making sure I could use it safely and confidently. It's very easy to get on and off as not only does the arm raise up but the seat actually swivels. I am 90years old and am so happy to be able to have some independence back. Thank you!

I would like to thank Ability Assist for the work they have carried out for me, fitting my grab rails, both inside and outside of my home and for supplying me with the Handybar tool to enable me to more easily get in and out of my car.
I'd strongly recommend the Handybar for anyone who has hip trouble like I have, it really is so much easier now getting in and out of the car!

How much is a Stairlift?

Our New Stairlifts start from £1399 for our straight models, and £3299 for our curved models. Reconditioned and Hire Stairlifts are also available from a £400 initial payment.

How soon can I have a Stairlift fitted?

All of our Stairlifts are fitted in less than 1 day, and our lead-time varies from as little as same-day for in-stock Straight stairlifts, and slightly longer for our curved models.

What if my stairs are narrow, or have bends and corners?

No problem at all! For all but the narrowest of staircases, we have a solution for all. Bends are no problem, our curved stairlifts will ensure to move you around your house safely.

What if there’s a power cut?

All of our Stairlifts are powered by 12V Lead Acid batteries, and are on charge whenever the stairlift is stored away correctly. These tend to have a lifespan of 3-5 years and are economical to replace.
In the event of a power cut, these batteries will still allow you to do multiple trips back and forth safely. If in doubt at all, give us a call!

How do I buy a Stairlift from yourselves?

Due to their specialist nature, it is essential that a FREE Home-Assessment is carried out by one of our team to ensure you get the correct stairlift for both yourselves, but also your stairs. We will give you a price on the day and leave you to decide in your own time. No pressure off us!
