Overview:
A very neat Straight Stairlift installation by our team here in North Cornelly, near Bridgend. It wasn’t the most straightforward of surveys on our first visit due to having an old radiator immediately at the bottom of the stairs.
But as Bridgend’s number 1 provider of Stairlifts, we had this situation in North Cornelly covered as usual.
Step 1: Survey & Quotation
As with any potential stairlift installation, one of our trained engineers attended site to discuss through various options with the customer. It was noted that the old radiator at the base of the stairs was a problem, and that it would require replacing and relocating with a smaller unit, or removed completely.
The customer was provided with a written quotation, and then we left them to decide in their own time, no pressure from us. Prices were left for a Handicare 1100 with Manual Swivel and Manual Footrest, and for a fully powered Handicare 1100 with Powered Swivel and Powered Footrest.
Step 2: Decision Time
The customer had opted for the Handicare 1100 Straight Stairlift, with all Manual Options, our affordable and trusted option. They advised us that they will replace the radiator with a narrow upright one to achieve the necessary clearance, and that they’d give us a call when the plumber had been.
A few days went by, the plumber had been, and now it was time to get the stairlift installed.
Step 3: Installation Day
It was time for us to see the transformation with the radiator, and get the customers up and down their stairs safely. The radiator was replaced with a taller, narrow, modern option, allowing plenty of space for our stairlift installation.
The stairlift went in as neat as ever, with the ultra narrow rail offering plenty of room on the stairs for others. The grease-free rail proving as popular and attractive as ever, ensuring that this stairlift remains clean and sleek for years to come. The manual swivel Style Seat on this Handicare 1100 both folds up neatly, and swivels smoothly at the top of the stairs to facilitate safe transfers both on and off the stairlift.
A full demo and handover was carried out as always, and it was a joy to see our customers navigate back and forth safely after struggling with the stairs for so long.
And then the journey home after a long day. Fortunately for us, only a short drive to get back to Bridgend from North Cornelly to finish our busy day off.
